Hood Warfare 2 Patch 1.0.1.4: Private Matches & Fixes

What are private matches?

The announcement adds private matches: you create a lobby that only opens with a password and play there with your friends. Launch-week Steam reviewers had asked for exactly this.

What changed for anti-cheat?

Trapstar Games says it fixed issues with the anti-cheat kicking players falsely. The anti-cheat system itself arrived two days earlier in patch 1.0.10, and the Steam store page names it as Easy Anti-Cheat.

If you were removed from matches without cheating, install this update before trying again. The notes do not say what triggered the false kicks.

How do you fix no audio?

The notes list the no-audio issue as fixed and give one instruction: go to settings and select an audio output device. They do not say where in settings the option sits or whether a restart is needed.

Which join and crash fixes are included?

The announcement says various join game issues and crashes were fixed. It does not itemize them. After patch 1.0.10, players on Steam reported connection errors when joining, and the developer promised a follow-up.

2. Start Steam again and let Hood Warfare 2 update.
3. Launch the game and read the version in the bottom-right corner of the menu. It should say 1.0.1.4.

Is 1.0.1.4 newer than 1.0.10?

Yes. The numbers look out of order, but the announcement dates settle it: 1.0.10 was posted on October 12 and 1.0.1.4 on October 14. The developer calls 1.0.1.4 the latest version. The patch 1.0.10 breakdown covers the earlier update.
