All 6 Hood Warfare 2 Game Modes & 4 Chicago Maps Strategy Guide

Steam describes six objectives: Turf War, GangBang, Hit A Lick, Chain Snatch, Destroy The Block and Chaos. Its four named launch maps are Downtown, Suburbs, The Trenches and Chicago Mall; patch 1.0.10 also names Supermarket, so four is not the current total confirmed map pool.

Compare all six mode objectives

Steam states the objective but does not provide a single universal score cap, round timer or team-size table. The links above keep each mode's deeper guide and evidence available.

Win by the mode's objective
ModeObjectiveFirst tactical priority
Turf WarControl turf to earn team pointsHold and contest territory; keep a teammate covering the approach
GangBangFinish with the most gang killsTake supported fights and avoid giving away repeated deaths
Hit A LickTake the enemy bag and return it to your hoodPlan both the pickup route and a covered return
Chain SnatchCollect enemy chains and recover friendly chainsSecure the area before committing to a pickup
Destroy The BlockPlant or defuse the bomb; one life per roundPreserve your life and watch the objective state
ChaosFinish with the most individual killsWatch multiple approaches and reposition after a fight

Four named launch maps, plus the patch-added reference

These are planning prompts, not measured spawn coordinates, guaranteed safe routes or a claim that every map supports every mode. The confirmed maps guide separates official names, footage and patch references.

Map identity and planning questions
MapEvidenceWhat to check when you spawn
DowntownNamed on SteamLocate the objective and a covered route across streets
SuburbsNamed on SteamCompare the direct road approach with cover near buildings
The TrenchesNamed on SteamIdentify nearby entrances before committing to a lane
Chicago MallNamed on SteamCheck which interior routes lead to the current objective

Spawn decisions that work across objectives

Suggested loadout roles are flexible: ammunition support can help longer defenses; movement can help return a bag. Weapon tiers describe slot breadth, and perks have no verified numeric bonus table.

  1. Check the objective and team positions before choosing a route. A short route is useful only if it advances the current scoring task.
  2. Use cover to approach a contested area, then check entrances instead of sprinting directly into an exposed center.
  3. After an elimination, reassess the objective state. Returning down the same route can repeat the same unfavorable fight.
  4. In single-life bomb rounds, communicate and preserve the life your team needs for a plant or defuse.
