Hood Warfare 2 Beginner Guide: Your First Match

On this page

What should you do before your first match?

Steam describes a shooter built around competing gangs in Chicago, with online matches and configurable matches against bots. Use that bot option as a low-pressure introduction; this is a learning routine, rather than a claim about how bot matches reward progression.

  1. Choose one map and a mode in the match setup. Keep them consistent while you learn.
  2. Read the scoring objective. A team shootout, a bag recovery and a bomb round reward different decisions.
  3. Set up your weapon, perks and equipment before starting.
  4. Play the same map again and identify a route to the objective and an alternative way back.

Which mode makes a useful starting point?

GangBang has the simplest team objective: your gang needs more eliminations. It is a useful place to practice recognizing teammates and moving through a map. This is an editorial starting suggestion, not an official difficulty ranking.

Turf War adds territory control; Destroy The Block adds bomb planting or defusing and one life per round. Compare all six objectives in the game modes guide before choosing.

How should you approach your first loadout?

Change one part of a setup at a time so you can notice the effect. The store names sights, magazines, grips and suppressors, alongside perks and equipment; it does not publish a complete damage or attachment-stat table.

Keep the weapon you are learning in use while checking its own challenge requirements. The weapons guide explains customization without presenting an unsupported tier list.

What should you check after the round?

Review whether you pursued the actual objective, where you lost track of opponents and which route exposed you. These questions turn a repeated match into useful practice.

  • Levels unlock additional weapons and equipment.
  • Weapon challenges unlock attachments.
  • Kills with a specific weapon unlock skins for that weapon.
  • Check requirements in the game; the store does not confirm whether every bot action counts toward every challenge.
